Only three ingredients, lemon juice, stevia and water
- Water– Filtered water, or if you prefer your lemonade fizzy just switch up the water for sparkling!
- Lemon juice: Depending on the size of your lemons, you will need between 6-8 medium size lemons to get 1.5 cups of lemon juice. Use fresh lemons –Fresh squeezed lemon juice has the best flavour, stay away from lemon juice in a bottle as it usually contains additives.
- Stevia: Mix the lemon juice and stevia together before adding the water. This will help the stevia dissolve quicker.
- Mint: Use fresh mint, or food grade mint essential oils, 1-2 drops. If you’re storing the lemonade over night, remove the mint as it will become brown and over powering.

A step-by-step homemade healthy lemonade recipe that's sugar-free and only 3 ingredients!
Ingredients
- 8 Cups Water
- 1.5 Cups Lemon juice (6-8 medium sized lemons)
- 3/4 Cup Stevia (Or 1.5 cup sugar equivalent, adjust to your liking)
Optional
- 3-4 Tbsp Lime juice
- 3 Sprigs Mint
Instructions
- Add lemon juice and stevia to a pitcher. Mix together the lemon juice and stevia before adding the water, this will help dissolve the stevia quicker.
- Add water to stevia and lemon juice and stir.
- Refrigerate and serve over ice.
Notes
- If substituting another sweetener, use an amount equal to 1.5 cups sugar.
- Keep in the fridge for 2-3 days
- If your sweetener does not dissolve easily in water, try microwaving or boiling 1 cup of the water and dissolve the sweetener in the hot water first before mixing with the remaining water and the lemon juice.
- You will need a lemon squeezer to make this lemonade. Since lemon squeezers are relatively cheap, it really isn’t worth all of the work to squeeze them by hand. A lemon squeezer can do a better job and quicker as well. You can find inexpensive lemon squeezers on Amazon.
